The Farm Mill publishes practical planning calculators: acreage and stocking, fence length and posts, hay and barn storage, stock-tank volume, livestock water, and simple feed-cost math. Each tool runs in your browser, shows the formula, includes a worked example and FAQ, and carries a clear planning disclaimer.
There is no account wall. This first release ships 10 tools under thefarmmill.com.
Every calculator page follows the same pattern: when to use it, a calculator panel with live results and step-through math, the formulas in plain text, a numeric example, limits/assumptions, FAQ, related tools, and a disclaimer that these are estimates — not official guidance.
Copy is written to be thick enough to stand alone as a useful reference, not a thin widget stub.
The Farm Mill is not a USDA, NRCS, or Cooperative Extension official publication. It is not a licensed survey, engineering stamp, veterinary prescription, or nutritionist-balanced ration. Local rules, forage tests, animal class, and weather always override a generic calculator.
